Creating Your Own Positive Vibe

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.” – Buddha

Ever get a good or a bad feeling about something? Ever wondered where that feeling comes from? Believe it or not, it’s coming from your thoughts.

When you think positively, you create positive energy – a good vibe, and when you think negatively, you create negative energy – a bad vibe. Okay, this may sound overly simplistic, but just think about the times you’ve walked into a room and felt a good or a bad vibe even though no one said a word. Thoughts create an energy that becomes the “atmosphere” you feel in a room, but here’s the thing, yourthoughts create the energy you feel even when you’re the only person in the room.

When you send out positive energy, it positively charges the atmosphere, and you attract positive energy in return. Think of it a bit like a battery. Positive thoughts charge up the energy supply and negative thoughts deplete it.All of your senses generate their own unique vibrations, so your own thoughts, words, actions, and beliefs are responsible for the vibe you feel when you’re alone.

A positive internal vibe is the invisible architecture of success.

What you believe about yourself and your circumstances directly impacts the thoughts in your mind. Your thoughts impact the way you feel. The way you feel influences the actions you take, and the actions you take have a direct impact on your outcomes in life.

Positive energy tends to bring positive experiences into your life. Thinking negatively tends to bring negative experiences into your life.

Believing in yourself as a success (however you define it) in life is crucial if you are to realise that success.

Visualisingyourself achieving whatever it is you want to achieve is a mental skill that generates the positive thoughts needed to drive the positive actions that will generate positive outcomes.

Seeing yourself as a success and experiencing it through every sense – the sights, smells, sounds, touch, and tastes – in your mind’s-eye is a proven method of building your own internal positive vibe.

It’s a learned skill and, like all skills, it takes dedicated practise to master it. Jim Carrey often speaks of how visualisation helped him as a struggling actor, saying…

“I would visualise things coming to me. It would just make me feel better. Visualisation works if you work hard. That’s the thing. You can’t just visualise and go eat a sandwich.”

Believing it’s possible for you to succeed is the first step, but you must tap into the positive vibe created and use it to drive the positive actions that will take you to wherever you want to go in life. When you learn to visualise your success, you learn how to create your own internal positive vibe, but achieving comes down to believingand doing. Author Alfred Montapert perhaps put it best we he said…

“To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualise, then plan… believe… act!”
