“Goals are like a magnet – they pull. And the stronger they are, the more purposeful they are, the bigger they are, the more unique they are, the stronger they pull.” – Jim Rohn
What you think about, you bring about, so what you focus on most is what you’ll bring into your life. In simple terms, if it’s your goal to succeed, you need to think of yourself as a success, even when your goal appears to be a million miles away.
As entrepreneur Jim Rohn once said, goals are like a magnet. When you have a clear picture in your mind of what success will look like for you, those mental images have the power to pull you towards them. To bring the things you want into your life, you need to know exactly what those things are. Visualisation is a powerful tool that not only lets you see yourself as a success, it also allows you feel that success.
Successful people are positive thinkers. They think positively, and those positive thoughts generate positive emotions. When you feel positive, the actions you take are positive, and those actions keep you moving towards your goal, even when it’s a long way off or the odds seemed stacked against you.
Positive efforts attract positive returns.
Your outer world, meaning your reality, is a reflection of your inner world, meaning your mind. If you’re unable to see yourself as a success in your minds-eye or you lack belief in yourself as a success in the making, the negative state this creates in your mind will be reflected in your reality. Like attracts like. To attract success, you must be a success in your mind.
However, believing in yourself as a success is not enough on its own to make success your reality. You must act on those positive thoughts and emotions and do what needs to be done to get you to where you want to be. Visualise your success, make a clear plan of how you’re going to get from where you are to where you want to be, set stepping-stone goals in place to keep you moving towards your ultimate goal, and then take those steps.
Action steps move you towards your goal, and believing in your potential to achieve that goal creates the pull that keeps you moving.
Being a magnet to success begins and ends with believing in yourself as a success. The stronger the belief, the stronger the pull towards your goal. Positive thoughts and beliefs attract positive outcomes, negative thoughts and beliefs can only ever attract negative outcomes.
